I still remember when I thought of lace as old fashioned, something you would find at your grandma's table on Sundays, or if yours is anything like mine, under a very dainty tea set on an equally dainty serving tray. Oh my!!! How have things changed!! Lace for me today is at the same time the ultimate girlie statement and extremely edgy. Either way, regardless of your mood and where you're going lace will always make an entrance.

Many designers are using lace for their new fall collections in innovative and modern ways. Here are a few examples of the "new lace" that any modern girl would love to have.

Givenchy Peep Toe Sandals are so girlie and pretty that even the toughest girl
would be instantly enamored by them.

This Valentino Sculpture Lace Pump may be the laciest one of all and probably the most innovative shoe on this post. With the floral appliques on the back a skirt or shorts would be perfect to show it off. The craftsmanship and detail on this pump may justify the  price tag of $4,700. So if you have the money, I say go for it!
